As the name suggests, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic treatment that combines hypnosis with Solution Focused therapy to treat conditions such as anxiety, phobias, depression, sleep disruption, smoking, weight loss, anger management, addiction and unwanted habits and behaviours.
Unlike traditional therapies, which often focus on problems and past behaviours, Solution Focus is forward-looking and action-orientated to enable people to create and maintain new, healthier and happier patterns of behaviour. It gives you the tools you need for lasting change.
Hypnosis is not something that is done to you, it is a collaborative relationship led by you, as you enter a state of deep relaxation, guided and supported by the hypnotherapist. During this trance state, the brain is able to make deeper decisions to enable healthy, more desirable, patterns of behaviour and feel better-equipped to manage challenging situations. In essence, it allows you to gain more control over your thoughts, actions and feelings and make positive changes in a relatively short period of time.
A Solution Focused Hypnotherapy session is about far more than just hypnosis. The process starts by understanding how your brain is working to keep you safe and well, and how you can rewire the brain to make desirable and lasting changes.
