Make the evening drink a choice again
You’ve spent the day working, getting things done or being available to other people. A drink can feel like the moment when you finally get some time for yourself.
Perhaps you had planned an alcohol-free evening. Perhaps you hadn’t thought about drinking until you opened the fridge. Either way, that familiar glass can quickly become something you look forward to — and a harder choice to change than you expected.
Feel Free is a self-guided Hypnos Solutions programme for adults who want to change their evening drinking pattern.
It helps you explore what your drink has come to mean — relaxation, reward, comfort or simply the end of the day — and find practical ways to meet those needs while putting your intentions into practice.
You do not have to decide that you will never drink again. The aim is for alcohol to have a smaller, more deliberate place in your life, with more room to choose how you want your evening to feel.
Your programme includes
- The Feel Free Companion Guide as an e-book and audio book
- Four hypnotic recordings: Woodland, Seashore, Garden and Fireside
- Day and night versions of each recording
- A downloadable Feel Free Action Plan to help you put the ideas into practice
Feel Free is designed for habitual or emotionally driven drinking. It is not a treatment for alcohol dependence. Please read the important information below before purchasing.
When “not tonight” becomes a negotiation
You might enjoy a drink with friends or choose wine with a meal. What frustrates you is the drink you did not really choose: the one that appears because the working day has ended, dinner has begun or you need a moment to yourself.
You may have tried keeping alcohol-free weekdays, buying alternatives or promising yourself that tonight will be different. Those plans can seem straightforward in the morning and much less appealing when you are tired at six o’clock.
Feel Free starts with a useful question: What am I hoping this drink will give me?
It might be a signal that work is over. A reward. A way to switch off. Comfort, pleasure or a little time that feels like your own.
Those are reasonable things to want. Once you recognise what you are looking for, you can begin finding other ways to meet that need instead of leaving the decision to a familiar routine.
How Feel Free helps you change the pattern
The programme brings together understanding, rehearsal and practical changes to your evenings.
Understand the pull
The Companion Guide explores why a drink can start calling at the same time each day, how cues and routines make a response feel automatic, and why part of you may want an alcohol-free evening while another part wants relief right now.
It also helps you notice why some evenings are harder than others. Tiredness, stress and what is readily available can all affect a decision you felt sure about earlier.
Make the new choice easier
You will consider one specific response you would rather practise. That could mean pausing before you pour, choosing particular alcohol-free evenings or beginning a personal evening reset before deciding whether to drink.
The guide introduces pre-commitment: making a useful decision before you reach the point in the evening when the old routine is most persuasive. It also helps you identify a small Critical Move that changes what happens next, such as having an appealing alternative ready or changing the first few minutes after work.
Rehearse it with hypnosis
The recordings give you time to imagine that familiar evening moment and practise responding differently. You can notice the thought of a drink without treating it as an instruction, ask what you need and picture yourself following the new routine you have chosen.
The guide helps you decide what to practise. The recordings let you return to that response regularly, so it has more opportunities to become familiar.
What is in the Companion Guide?
The Feel Free Companion Guide is available to read as an e-book or listen to as an audio book. You can use whichever format suits you, or move between them.
It explores questions including:
- Why does a drink start to sound appealing at a particular time?
- How does an evening routine become so automatic?
- Why can two parts of you seem to want different things?
- Why is an alcohol-free evening easy sometimes and difficult on others?
- What can make evenings without alcohol feel more natural?
- How can hypnosis support the changes you are practising?
Throughout the guide, you are invited to apply the ideas to your own life. You can choose a new response, work out what helps you feel more able to choose and design a satisfying way to mark the end of the day.
Four settings to choose from
Each hypnotic recording follows the Feel Free approach. The setting changes, so you can begin with the one that feels most inviting.
Fresh green woodland, softly filtered light and the steady feeling of nature around you. A grounding, restorative setting.
Warm sand, open water and the rhythm of the waves. A spacious, soothing and freeing setting.
A peaceful spring garden filled with flowers, sunlight and open views. A gentle, uplifting and refreshing setting.
A warm fire, soft light and a peaceful winter scene outside. A cosy, comforting and deeply settling setting.
You do not need to listen to all four in turn. Choose the setting that appeals to you and use that recording regularly for a while. You can explore the others later if you wish.
Day and night versions
Every setting has a day version, which brings you back ready to continue your day, and a night version, which is designed for listening in bed as you settle towards sleep.
That gives you eight hypnotic audio tracks in total. Choose the version that fits when and how you want to listen.
Put your ideas into your Feel Free Action Plan
Your downloadable Feel Free Action Plan brings your most useful decisions together in one place.
Use it to note:
- what you may really need when a drink sounds appealing
- a few other ways to meet that need
- your personal evening reset
- the new response you want to practise
- what each part of you wants when you feel torn
- what helps you feel more able to choose
- the small change that could make your chosen response easier
You can return to your plan when the old routine starts to take over. It is there to remind you what you decided when you had space to think.
Feel Free may be right for you if…
- an evening drink has become part of your routine without much thought
- you sometimes drink to mark the end of work, relax or reward yourself
- you plan an alcohol-free evening, then find yourself pouring a drink anyway
- you would like some evenings without alcohol to feel ordinary and enjoyable
- you want to make deliberate choices without turning every evening into a battle
This programme is about changing a familiar pattern. It does not require you to judge every drink you have ever enjoyed or make a promise about what you will do forever.
The change you are practising is simpler: pause, notice what you need and decide what happens next.
Frequently asked questions
Will Feel Free work for me?
Everyone’s experience is different, so we cannot promise a particular result. Feel Free is designed for adults whose evening drinking has become a familiar routine and who want to make that choice more deliberate.
The Companion Guide helps you understand your pattern and decide what to change. The recordings give you regular opportunities to rehearse a different response, while the Action Plan helps you put it into practice. You may notice small changes first, such as pausing before you pour or finding that an alcohol-free evening takes less effort.
Do I have to stop drinking completely?
No. Feel Free is not an abstinence programme. You may still choose to enjoy a drink on some occasions. The aim is to help you move away from drinking automatically every evening, so that having a drink—or deciding “not tonight”—feels like your choice.
What if I drink on an evening I had planned to be alcohol-free?
One evening does not undo what you have learnt. Notice what was happening at the time: Were you tired, stressed or looking for a way to switch off? Then return to your plan and consider what would make your chosen response easier next time. The programme is about practising and adjusting, not getting every evening right.
What if Feel Free doesn’t work for me?
Work through the guide, use your chosen recording regularly and try the changes you have put in your Action Plan. If you feel the programme is not right for you, contact us within 30 days of purchase to request a refund under our satisfaction promise.
Feel Free is intended for habitual or emotionally driven drinking. If you think you may be dependent on alcohol, experience withdrawal symptoms or need help to reduce your drinking safely, speak to a GP or an alcohol support service rather than relying on this programme.
What happens after I buy?
Your purchase confirmation email will direct you to your programme delivery page. There you can access the Companion Guide in e-book and audio book formats, the four recordings in day and night versions, and your downloadable Feel Free Action Plan.
Important information
Feel Free is intended for adults who want to change habitual or emotionally driven drinking. It is not intended to treat alcohol dependence.
If you experience withdrawal symptoms, need alcohol to function normally, regularly lose control over how much you drink or think you may be dependent, speak to a GP or an alcohol support service before trying to reduce or stop drinking. Stopping suddenly can be dangerous when you are physically dependent.
The programme complements rather than replaces professional assessment or treatment. Listen to the recordings only when you are sober and able to rest safely, never while driving, cycling, operating machinery or doing anything that needs your full attention.
Let the next evening be your choice
A familiar routine can feel as though it has made the decision for you. Feel Free helps you pause before that happens, understand what you are looking for and practise a different way to finish the day.
You can still enjoy a drink when you genuinely choose one. You can also learn to say “not tonight” and have an evening that feels like your own.
