Finding your way back to natural sleep
After another tiring day, all you want is a good night’s sleep. But bedtime can bring its own pressure: “Will I sleep tonight? What if tomorrow is another struggle?”
You might lie awake waiting for sleep, or wake in the night and start counting the hours left. Soon, you’re thinking about sleep during the day as well — planning around it, worrying about it and wondering why something that once happened naturally has become so difficult.
Sleep Well is a self-guided Hypnos Solutions programme designed to help you understand that pattern and practise a different response.
Through a Guide you can read or listen to, hypnosis recordings and your own Action Plan, you’ll explore what to do at bedtime, during a wakeful night and the following day.
The aim is to take some of the pressure out of sleep, so going to bed can begin to feel like a time to rest rather than another test to pass.

Your Sleep Well programme includes
- The Sleep Well Companion Guide in e-book and audio book formats
- Four hypnotic recording settings: Woodland, Seashore, Garden and Fireside
- Day and bedtime versions of each setting
- A separate downloadable Sleep Well Action Plan
30-day Satisfaction Promise — see details below.
Has sleep become something you have to think about?
When sleep is going well, you rarely pay much attention to how it happens.
After a run of difficult nights, that can change. You may start preparing carefully for bedtime, checking whether you feel sleepy enough and wondering what you will do if you wake again.
You may have tried changing your routine, clearing your mind, using an app or finding the perfect technique. It makes sense to look for a solution when something important feels uncertain.
But sleep is unusual. You can make yourself comfortable and create time to rest; you cannot consciously perform the final step into sleep. Watching closely to see whether it is happening can leave you feeling more alert.
Sleep Well helps you recognise when trying to solve sleep has become part of what keeps it on your mind. Then it gives you a practical way to do less of that work.
What you will learn in the Companion Guide
The guide explores why your sleep may have changed and why the original disruption may not be what is keeping the difficulty going now.
It helps you look at the responses that can develop after poor nights: checking the clock, calculating the hours left, trying to make your mind go blank, analysing your sleep in the morning or treating tonight as a chance to make up for last night.
You will consider:
- what to do when sleep has not arrived
- how to respond if you wake during the night
- when resting comfortably in bed makes sense, and when getting up quietly for a while may be better
- how to keep one poor night from deciding what the whole next day will be like
- how to listen to a recording without turning it into another test of whether you can sleep
The guide does not ask you to follow an exhausting list of bedtime rules. It invites you to notice one thing you could begin doing less and practise a different response.
When you are awake, you can rest
Being awake at three o’clock in the morning can quickly begin to feel urgent.
You may check the time, work out how little sleep you could still get and start predicting how tomorrow will go. Soon you are dealing with the frustration and worry that have gathered around being awake, as well as the wakefulness itself.
Sleep Well offers a response you can decide on in advance.
If you are comfortable, you can allow yourself to rest without checking the clock or trying to force sleep to return. If you become increasingly frustrated or alert, you can get up for a while, do something quiet and return when you feel sleepy.
You do not have to make rest produce sleep for it to be worthwhile.
Don’t let last night decide today
After a difficult night, it is tempting to predict that the day will be impossible before it has begun.
Sometimes you will need to change your plans, especially if you are too sleepy to do something safely. But a poor night does not always tell you how every hour of the following day will feel.
The Companion Guide encourages you to find out what you can reasonably manage. You may be tired and still enjoy a conversation, concentrate on something absorbing or have a better day than you expected.
That experience matters. It can help one difficult night feel like one difficult night, rather than proof that the next night and the next day will go badly too.
How the hypnotic recordings fit in
Understanding that you do not need to try so hard is one thing. Experiencing a little less effort is another.
The Sleep Well recordings give your attention somewhere gentle to rest. As you listen, you can practise allowing thoughts to come and go, letting your attention wander and giving up the job of checking whether sleep is nearly here.
You do not need to empty your mind, reach a particular depth of relaxation or fall asleep before a recording ends. If you hear every word, that is fine. If you lose track of it, that is fine too.
The recording is an opportunity to listen and let go, without scoring the result.
Choose a setting that appeals to you
The therapeutic approach is consistent across the recordings; the setting changes so you can choose the one you naturally find most appealing.
Fresh green woodland, softly filtered light and the steady feeling of nature around you. A grounding, restorative setting.
Warm sand, open water and the rhythm of the waves. A spacious, soothing and freeing setting.
A peaceful spring garden filled with flowers, sunlight and open views. A gentle, uplifting and refreshing setting.
A warm fire, soft light and a peaceful winter scene outside. A cosy, comforting and deeply settling setting.
You do not need to use all four. Choose whichever setting feels most inviting and stay with that recording for a while. Familiarity is useful — which is why the programme encourages you to use the same version regularly before exploring the others.
Day or bedtime?
The day version brings your attention back at the end, ready to continue your day. It lets you practise listening without making sleep the objective.
The bedtime version has no alerting ending. You can listen in bed, become less interested in following the words and allow yourself to drift or simply rest.
Neither version is a test. Choose the one that fits the time you are listening.
Make a plan for the moments that usually feel hardest
Your downloadable Sleep Well Action Plan gives you somewhere to record the responses you want to remember when sleep becomes difficult.
You can decide what you want to do less of at bedtime, which recording you intend to use and how you will respond if you wake during the night. You can also note what you predict after a difficult night and what actually happens.
The Companion Guide helps you understand the approach. The recordings help you practise it. Your Action Plan gives you something clear to return to when you are tired and do not want another set of decisions to make.
Sleep Well may be right for you if…
- you struggle to fall asleep or wake during the night
- you find yourself checking the clock or calculating the hours left
- bedtime has begun to feel like a test
- you spend the day worrying about how you will sleep that night
- you analyse your sleep each morning
- you want a calmer response to wakefulness and less pressure around sleep
The goal is not perfect sleep every night. It is to reach a point where sleep takes up less of your attention and a difficult night no longer feels like an emergency.
Frequently asked questions
Will the recordings make me fall asleep?
They are designed to support the approach in the Companion Guide, not to guarantee sleep on demand. You can use them to practise less effort and less monitoring. If you remain awake while listening, you can still rest.
Why is there a day version of a sleep recording?
The day version lets you practise relaxing your attention when you are not trying to fall asleep. It has an ending that brings you back ready to continue your day.
Which setting should I choose?
Begin with whichever appeals to you most. Stay with it for a while so it can become familiar; you can explore the others later.
What if my mind wanders or I hear the end of the recording?
You do not need to concentrate on every word. Hearing the end does not mean you have done anything wrong. The programme encourages you to listen without checking or judging the result.
Is the Action Plan a separate download?
Yes. The Sleep Well Action Plan will be available as a separate download alongside your guide and recordings.
What happens after I buy?
Your purchase confirmation email will direct you to the Sleep Well programme delivery page. There you can access the Companion Guide in e-book and audio book formats, the hypnotic recordings and your separate downloadable Action Plan.

You do not have to supervise yourself into sleep. You can learn what to do when you are awake, let a recording give your attention somewhere gentle to go and discover that one difficult night need not take over the next day.
